Back Tracks. New Show Debuts This Week on FolkNRoots Radio

March 5, 2018 | By

One of the big pluses in our change over to a new streaming service for the station is greatly enhanced cloud space.

What this means is that adding new music no longer requires deleting older music from the server.

Among the many benefits of this expanded space is that we are able to launch or new show “Back Tracks”.

There is always a ton of great new roots music coming at the attentive music lover, but that doesn’t mean the older stuff should be shuffled off and forgotten.

“Back Tracks” will play once a day on the station and will feature tunes which are no longer current. It is likely that the artists featured already have newer music spinning on FolkNRoots, and we will always look for the opportunity to remind listeners of artists who have been out of the new music spotlight for a while, but who have new music coming soon.

Here’s the set list for the first edition. None of these tracks are all that old, but as we go along, we plan to delve deeper into the back catalogues.
