New In The Rotation – Thompson Wilson

October 31, 2017 | By

I saw Thompson Wilson open for Blackie & the Rodeo Kings back when he was part of a band called Harlan Pepper.

He went solo, and after doing something like 170 dates, in the States, opening for Lee Harvey Osmond, he has been opening for B&RK on their Kings and Kings tour.

At Massey Hall, a while back, he was impressive, standing on THAT stage, alone with his acoustic guitar and delivering his songs.

This past weekend, in Ajax, Ontario, he was even better. His confidence and delivery both way up, and the songs just soaring.

The EP is called “The Homewood Tapes“, and if you can find a copy, grab it.

You’ll be hearing him on our Canadiana and Folk Music shows, among others.

Here’s a clip of his doing one of the songs from the record. Check it out!
